San Francisco, CA – April 23, 2018, Maureen Ladley received the President’s Award during the 2018 Excellence in Homebuilding Awards, presented by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Building Industry Association (BIA) of the Bay Area. The award recognizes service to the Sales and Marketing Council and BIA Bay Area, above and beyond the usual.
In presenting the award, Donald Ruthroff, president of Dahlin Group Architecture Planning and president of the Sales and Marketing Council board noted, “When there is a need, this person is one of the first volunteers. When there was a challenge by my predecessor to create a Month of Giving, this person was one of the first volunteers to make that Month of Giving a success.”
“I am honored by Don’s kind words and by this most-unexpected recognition,” said Ladley. “Serving on the board of the Sales and Marketing Council makes it easy to give back to our industry and to the people in it. Helping initiate the Month of Giving was a pleasure, and it was a team effort from members of our Charity Community: Kathleen Butler, Jonel Jackson and Sandy Richert, and Homeaid Charities need and deserve our support” she continued.
A little-known fact: Anyone, elected to the board or not, can attend the SMC Board meetings and can volunteer. “SMC and BIA provide wonderful opportunities to be involved and volunteer, and I encourage you to join us,” Ladley concluded.
The Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) is designed to meet the needs of sales agents, marketing professionals and related business associates through educational programs, workshops, special events, networking, and meetings. SMC provides information on timely industry issues enabling members to stay on the cutting edge of success. The council also hosts the annual Excellence in Home Building Awards to recognize the work of outstanding BIA of the Bay Area members. The association’s chapter is the local affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Sales and Marketing Council.
